Ivory handmade paper edged in silver filigree — the lace-like threadwork Prizren’s silversmiths have twisted from silver thread for six centuries, and still do. A pewter seal on wine-red silk closes it: metal, thread and paper from the city famed across the Balkans for its silverwork.
